Call Of Duty Mobile - A Massive Android multiplayer success
27-Jun-2020 by Professor Chaos
Call of Duty Mobile is a 1st person shooting game developed by TiMi Studios and published by Activision for iOS and Android. This game has 150 million+ downloads and earned round about $327 million Dollars. The strategy behind it's success was not a new mode, maps or skins, although they were a plus, the main success came from it's forgiving gameplay. Let's see how it worked.
About Call of Duty Mobile
In Call of Duty Mobile, you play multiplayer maps and modes anytime, anywhere. There is 100 player Battle Royale battleground where 100 players enter into the battlefield where they have to survive till the end. The last player gets a win and ranked up. Easy as that.
This download number is higher than the 1st eight months of downloading of Fortnite mobile and PUBG mobile, and as of June 2020, COD Mobile has generated $327 million in revenue.
Gameplay of COD Mobile
Call of Duty is a first-person shooter with a substantial team-based component. In Call of Duty Mobile, players can choose to play ranked or unranked matches in multiplayer mode.
It has two types of in-game currencies: Credits, which are earned through playing the game, and COD Points, which have to be bought with real world money. It is possible to play the full game without paying, however, some exclusive character and weapon skins can only be bought with COD Points. Modern games, yay...
Modes of Play in Call of Duty Mobile
In battle royale mode you have to survive between 100 players to achieve success. Seems hard? Trust me, it's not. The gameplay is very forgiving, you basically have hundreds of chances to get back in the game.
In multiplayer there is traditional 5V5 combat. You can invite your friends or any other random player and play it with them, enjoy, get fraustrated, rage and leave the game.
Ahhh Yes, the brainless dudes are knocking at your door but that's not the problem, is it? Well, it's just that they are in hundreds against you, Good luck.
Zombie mode was added in this game in Nov 2019 but on 25 march ,2020 zombies mode was removed due to the game mode not meeting Activision's standards. A zombie mode doesn't meet standards, loot boxes and microtransactions do, is this even legal? Anyways, Activision said they might add it back in a later update, so, fingers crossed.
Release Date of COD Mobile
