Microsoft is bringing Forza Horizon 4 to Steam on March 9th. It marks the first time the Forza franchise has been available on Steam, and it will include crossplay with players on Xbox consoles, the regular Windows 10 version, and those streaming Forza Horizon 4 through xCloud.
"Last year, Forza Horizon 4 crossed the two-year mark at the Horizon Festival in Britain. This year, we couldn’t be more excited to celebrate another milestone on March 9 when the Forza Horizon 4 makes its debut on Steam."
New players will join millions of drivers as they race together across historic Britain and experience the open-world adventure with their convoy via cross-play with Xbox, Windows 10 PCs, and cloud gaming with Xbox Game Pass Ultimate on Android mobile devices. The game has been available on PC for a while, including through Xbox Game Pass, but this will be the first Forza game to make its way over to Valve's store.
The Steam version will include cross-play, allowing players to race against Xbox, Windows 10, and Android owners of the game. Expansions Fortune Island and LEGO Speed Champions will be available to purchase on release day, as well as the Barrett-Jackson car collab and James Bond themed-car pack. There's a Hot Wheels car pack on the way too, though the release date is currently unknown.
Forza Horizon 4 is a 2018 racing video game developed by Playground Games and published by Microsoft Studios. It was released on 2 October 2018 on Xbox One and Microsoft Windows after being announced at Xbox's E3 2018 conference. An enhanced version of the game was released on Xbox Series X/S on 10 November 2020. The game is set in a fictionalised representation of areas of Great Britain.
You can wishlist the game on Steam from today ahead of the March 9 release.
