Riot addresses security concerns regarding Valorant's anti-cheat system, Vangaurd

Valorant is a tremendously popular shooter. It has continuously reached over a million viewers on Twitch, and the demand has called for Riot Games and the VALORANT team to release more and more keys in an attempt to satiate viewers and upcoming VALORANT hopefuls. But some gamers have expressed concerns about its Vanguard anti-cheat system. The concerns are because of the always-active kernel mode driver of Vangaurd than loads at boot.

There have been some reports of FPS drops in games and along with security concerns of own as Vanguard boots at system start up, and remains on at all times. That has many worried about the security of their personal data.
Today, Riot addresses the concern of gamers regarding privacy security with a message talking about its approach to security in general and its philosophy toward Vanguard.

You can read the post made by Riot addressing the security issues here.

Riot Games is confident in their system, of course, posting a message of that confidence on April 17th. "The bottom line is we would never let Riot ship anything if we weren’t confident it treated player privacy and security with the extreme seriousness they deserve," they said. They go forward to list how and why they're confident, and how we as players and users of their systems can and should be confident as well.

And to increase it's player base's confidence in Vangaurd, Riot Games has offered up to $100,000 to anyone able to find security flaws in Vanguard. "We want players to continue to play our games with peace of mind, and we’re putting our money where our mouth is. If you think you’ve found a flaw in Vanguard that would undermine the security and privacy of players, please submit a report right away and you may be eligible for a big bounty payout."So if you think you can find a flaw in Vangaurd, i say give it a go and earn yourself some bounty.

Personally, i haven't played Valorant yet because the beta isn't live in Asia. But if you're someone worried about your privacy and don't trust Vangaurd, then don't force yourself to play it. The Fps issues i've read about are a concern i'm worried about as i, myself am an extremely low budget gamer so i need every last frame i can squeeze outta this damn thing.

PEACE!!!
