Ghost of Tsushima A Storm is Coming Trailer Released

"You are a samurai, bound to uphold the code. To live, fight and die with honor."

The pre-rendered trailer helps set the tone for protagonist Jin and his journey, showing you the island of Tsushima before war washed up on its shores. The trailer constantly shifts between beautiful landscapes showing distance mountains with colors that grabs you into the scene to show you what was before the war, and the dark and hopeless sight of war.

Ghost of Tsushima is an upcoming action-adventure game developed by Sucker Punch Productions and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment for PlayStation 4. Featuring an open world for players to explore, it revolves around Jin Sakai, one of the last samurai on Tsushima Island during the first Mongol invasion of Japan in the 1270s. The game is scheduled for release on July 17, 2020.

Ghost of Tsushima is Sucker Punch's first game since the launch of the PS4, when the studio release Infamous Second Son and its short expansion, First Light(my favourite of the two).

A Quick Recap

So let's do a quick recap on what we've been told about the story. The story starts off in the late 13^th century, where the Mongol empire has laid waste to entire nations along their campaign to conquer the East. Tsushima Island is all that stands between mainland Japan and a massive Mongol invasion fleet led by the ruthless and cunning general, Khotun Khan.

As the island burns in the wake of the first wave of the Mongol assault, samurai warrior Jin Sakai stands as one of the last surviving members of his clan. He is resolved to do whatever it takes, at any cost, to protect his people and reclaim his home. He must set aside the traditions that have shaped him as a warrior to forge a new path, the path of the Ghost, and wage an unconventional war for the freedom of Tsushima.
