Cyberdimension Neptunia: 4 Goddesses Online is an action-adventure game. Despite the title, the game is a single-player game with an online cooperative multiplayer option.

It was the first Neptunia game to use Unreal Engine 4, as well as the first spin-off game to be released on the PlayStation 4 rather than the PlayStation Vita.

Story of Cyberdimension Neptunia: 4 Goddesses Online

The story follows the four Goddesses – Neptune, Noire, Blanc, and Vert – who find themselves trapped in an online world known as Virtualidad, which is based on the popular MMO, Neptune's Quest. They must find a way to escape the virtual world and return to their dimension.

Gameplay

The game is an action RPG in which players control a team of four characters. Players can explore the world, complete quests, and battle enemies. The combat system is real-time and hack-and-slash-based. Players can also customize their characters' appearance and stats.

Neptune

The protagonist of the game. She is the self-proclaimed CPU (Console Patron Unit) of Gamindustri.

Noire

The CPU of Lastation. She is the older sister of Uni.

Blanc

The CPU of Lowee. She is the older sister of Ram

Vert

The CPU of Leanbox. She is the older sister of Rom.

Nepgear

The CPU Candidate of Planeptune and Neptune's younger sister.

Uni

The CPU Candidate of Lastation and Noire's younger sister.

Ram

The CPU Candidate of Lowee and Blanc's younger sister.

Rom

The CPU Candidate of Leanbox and Vert's younger sister.
