Yakuza Kiwami 2

Yakuza Kiwami 2 is an action-adventure video game developed by Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio and published by Sega. Released initially for PlayStation 4 in Japan in December 2017 and worldwide in August 2018, the game is a full remake of the 2006 PlayStation 2 title Yakuza 2. Powered by the Dragon Engine, Yakuza Kiwami 2 offers enhanced graphics, improved gameplay, and expanded story content.

Overview of Yakuza Kiwami 2

The game follows Kazuma Kiryu, the legendary "Dragon of Dojima," as he is pulled back into the criminal underworld following the assassination of the Tojo Clan’s fifth chairman. Kiryu must navigate a dangerous conflict between the Tojo Clan and the rival Omi Alliance. The story explores themes of loyalty, honor, and betrayal in the world of Japanese organized crime.

Yakuza Kiwami 2 Storyline

Kazuma Kiryu thought his Tojo Clan days were behind him. He and the young girl in his care, Haruka Sawamura, have built a peaceful life from the ashes of conflict. All it took was a single gunshot to shatter that peace. Yukio Terada, the Fifth Chairman of the Tojo Clan, has been assassinated. With war on the horizon, the legendary Dragon of Dojima is pulled back into the world he wanted to leave behind.

Kiryu must travel to Sotenbori, Osaka, in an attempt to broker peace between the rival clans, but Ryuji Goda, known as the Dragon of Kansai, will stop at nothing to get his war. In this world, there can only be one dragon.

Rebuilt from the ground up, Yakuza Kiwami 2 uses the Dragon Engine to update one of the series' stand-out titles into a modern classic. The PC version includes all the enthusiast features you’ve come to expect: 4K resolution, unlocked framerates, customizable controls, and robust graphics options.

Combat System

Majima Saga

The game includes the Majima Saga, a new side story where players assume the role of Goro Majima. This chapter fills narrative gaps between Yakuza Kiwami and Kiwami 2 and features unique gameplay and story elements.

Yakuza Kiwami 2 offers a wide range of mini-games such as karaoke, darts, golf, mahjong, and poker. Other side content includes managing the Cabaret Club Grand Prix, engaging in Clan Creator battles, and playing arcade games like Virtua Fighter 2.
